UPDATE: I’ve been informed that our old stats engine was flawed. We’ve upgraded to a new version of WordPress and hopefully we’ll get more accurate stats in the future. For now, I still want to focus on the other two sites, but I may rethink Euro and Olympics coverage.
Even with three new authors for yesterday’s and today’s games, we’ve still only gotten 2 hits today (and none yesterday). Watching the games is detracting too much from Music Manumit and Open Source Playground, sites people seem to care about. I’m still going to post pictures of Tottenham v. LFC when I go see the match in Baltimore (July 28th – I’ll give myself a day to get stuff posted), but don’t expect coverage of the remaining group games, quarters, semis or finals of the Euros. We won’t plan on covering the Olympics either. It just takes too much time for no one to read it.
If, however, one of the new writers wants to keep going and their posts generate interest, I’ll be back. SportAZine has been on hiatus in the past only to rise like a Phoenix. Hopefully this will happen again, but right now I’m got to get my priorities straight.
